Case Study

Overview

Fashion-tech MVP built at MIT. 300+ beta users; v2 adds skincare/makeup scanning and a Chrome extension.

Problem

Limited fashion-tech solutions for skincare and makeup.

Solution

Developed a fashion-tech MVP with skincare/makeup scanning and Chrome extension.

Design Process

I led the end-to-end design using Figma for wireframes, flows, components, and high-fidelity UI. My process included discovery interviews, journey mapping, low-to-high fidelity iterations, and usability testing.

  • Research: interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis
  • Ideation: task flows, IA, and rapid wireframes
  • Design: Figma components, variants, and design tokens
  • Validation: prototype tests and iteration cycles

Results

300+ beta users, with v2 featuring research-driven features and growth via LinkedIn/IG/TikTok.

What I learned

Importance of solo-building and iterating based on user feedback.
